What Is Your Favorite Moment Of Baseball History?

Mine would have to be the 1969 Miracle Mets or the Red Sox coming back from a 3-0 series deficet after a 18-9 loss.
My favorite player moment was the Mark McGuire 70 home runs in a season.

1986 World Series when Buckner made his famous error.

I wouldn’t describe the Redsox comeback from down 3-0 as a “moment,” but it is definitely one of my favorites.
My top moment, though, is Cal Ripken breaking the consecutive game record. Chills and a couple tears just thinking about it.
Number 2 is the 1992 NLCS game 7, Francisco Cabrera bringing home the unlikely winning run — the impossibly slow Sid Bream! I was such a Braves fan back then — the pitching, the young David Justice, the old Terry Pendelton (with that wide open stance), the ancient Otis Nixon, and two gloves in the middle (Mark Lemke and Jeff Blauser). I still haven’t forgiven Joe Carter and the Blue Jays!

Although I’m a Yankee fan and I didn’t like the outcome, the 2001 World Series versus the Arizona Diamondbacks was the most thrilling WS I have ever seen. The comebacks and the extra inning games were phenomenal and just what the country needed at the time to help us heal from 9/11. The 1997 World Series between Cleveland and Florida was pretty wild too.

Down the left field line, that ball is trouble. It is gone! And the Marlins have won Game Four, 4-3 final as Gonzalez goes deep, his first home run of the postseason!

A liner…off of Nagy’s glove, into center field! The Florida Marlins have won…the WORLD SERIES!!!

I was at that Game 3 of the 2004 ALCS, and it was terrible. It was actually 19-8, an even bigger loss. The happiest moment of my life came on October 27th of that same year, but Game 7 of that ALCS is definitely my 2nd happiest.

2003 marlins winning the world series. Second on my favorites list is Anibal Sanchez in 2006 throwing the no-hitter against the D-backs.

Probably not a huge one to most fans but I liked when Dave Justice hit the home run that won the game in the 1995 World Series.

Bucky Dent, 1978 home run against Red Sox. More of a night mare for me as a Red Sox fan but probably the moment I will remember most vividly….
