I know the 1984 Detroit Tigers got off to a torrid start. something like 17-0 or something.
I say the Detroit Tigers in 1984 who went 35-5 over their first 40 games.
The Orioles won their first 21 in 1988 I think. The Braves went on two separate streaks. They went 13-0 in 1982, and I think 16-0 in 1991.
AL — 1984 Tigers won 35 of frist 40 and had division salted away by all-star break.
Orioles in 1988 (ithink) lost first 21 inn a row.
NL 1970 Reds won 70 of first 100
unknown for losses
AL: 1984 Tigers got off to a 35-5 start. Not too shabby.
NL: I think the Braves one season (maybe ’82) got off to a 16-0 start, or something like that. Barely hung on to win the division.
I’m not sure about the best but I know the Indians started 11-1 in the 2002 season.
The best start I can remember is the 84 Tigers they had the Division won by memorial weekend, hey thats the same year that the Baby Bears blew a 2-0 lead in the NLCS to the Padres,I remember Steve Garvey killing them like 3 games in a row with his bat.
I remember the Orioles won over 20 to start the season. I think it was 1989 or maybe that was losses. I apologize, can’t help you.
